Ludopticon Header

Webspace; each star a lit screen.

We shine but get lost amongst the brightness.

It's the new panopticon, where we are each the observer and observed. Instead of fearing surveillance, it's now staged as a competition amongst ourselves to be perceived.

The arena feels different, somehow. Participation is gamified, incentivised and self inflicted.

The Ludopticon can both give and take.

It can create opportunities and/or a lifeline, but at what cost?

To exist is to play, curated by youself or by proximity

To live a life free from your digital self is a sign of privilege; an act that's become increasingly harder as the world becomes more digitised.

How do we navigate this way of being? Can we feel empowered and safe?

Let's find out!

Welcome to the Ludopticon!
